Its time for a food comparison.
Leipzig – First night all vegan take-out only thing we could find. Second night – Indian food in Germany was pretty good, the rest of the time we cooked our own because Leipzig was overrun and the restaurants were full.
Salzburg /Wals – Hotel Gabi great huge breakfasts – classic Austrian food one night -schnitzel and potatoes at a classic restaurant and Austrian Chinese the next.
Weggis / Lucerne – meat and potatoes or fish and potatoes well served but a bit bland.
Italy – Casa Sull’albero – now it gets more interesting, Italian flavours no more meat and potatoes.
Monaco – getting better still. We have to mention the Restaurant Graziella @ 42 Quai Jean-Charles Rey. Great food, great service from a longstanding family business.
France – Uzes. I think we are there. You saw the Pizza, yesterday we made our own potatoe wedges and cooked fresh sausages from the Bucher D’Uzes.
Breakfast a quick walk down to the boulangerie for pastries – pain au chocolate or pain au raisin.
Today it was back to L’assiette Gourmand in Argilliers for lunch. We were here three years ago and it was as unique as we remembered.

You eat lunch in the garden they cook in the house.
And Dessert

Crepes with home made orange jam.
No dinner needed after that meal but we did have another dessert of amazing sorbet cones from the local store.

Direction post.
Argilliers – Centre will get you there.
Food conclusion – sorry Germany, Austria and Switzerland the food was good but Italy and France are going to win this one.
Tomorrow its market day in Uzes.
Yummm!
